Emmy Award winning Steve Boyle has created music television productions for a wide variety of recording artists – from classic rock stars such as The Beach Boys, Don McLean, and Grand Funk Railroad to classic country artists such as Garth Brooks, Alabama, Eddie Rabbitt and John Anderson.
He continues to create programs, documentaries, promotions, commercials and music videos for networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, CMT, HBO, BBC, and ITV.
Recently, Steve spent four years creating promotional, concert tour, book and commercial productions for Garth Brooks. Steve was also the Restoration Producer/Editor of The Jimmy Dean Show (ABC 1963-1966), restoring 82 hours of fragile 50+ year old kinescopes. His restoration talents along with his producing, writing, editing and narration skills brought about a 2018 Special Jury Award from the Houston International Film Festival for his short documentary on The Jimmy Dean Show.
Steve was the co-creator and manager of Hard Rock Cafe’s global music video television network (HRCTV) as well as responsible for corporate image, promotions and commercials for Hard Rock Cafe - worldwide.
Winning numerous national book awards, Steve is also known as an accomplished author for his Neo Noir Detective Mystery series, Webb Wilder, Last of the Full Grown Men. His story "Mole Men" from the series, was produced as a national public radio drama / comedy with a cast Rock and Country guest stars. His book has won the 2021 Best Independent Book Award for best novella, among other awards.
Born and raised in New York, Steve was part of the 1970s NYC Punk scene, where he and his band often played CBGB’s and Max's Kansas City. Steve’s directorial debut of his first music video premièred at the upstairs bar at Max’s Kansas City between clips delivered by Andy Warhol and the New York Dolls.
Steve has received over 70 regional, national and international awards for his work in music television, including Emmys, Addys and dozens of international film festival awards, including GOLD at the 2020 Houston International Film Festival and Best Short Documentary at the 2022 Hollywood Gold Awards. He has also been in the running for Nashville’s CMA Music Video Director of the Year, three years in a row.
